Gandhians, intellectuals, theatre personalities, and artists from across the country will be arriving in the city for this occasion. Notable participants include senior Gandhian and National Convener of Bapu-Ke-Log, Mr. Vijay Pratap from Delhi; National President of IPTA, Mr. Prasanna; Working President, Mr. Rakesh Veda; Kerala-based intellectual Mr. Balan; senior statesman from Karnataka, Mr. P.G.R. Sindhia; Mrs. Saroja Tulsidas; artist Mr. Prakash Rai; and Chairperson of the Welcome Committee, Mrs. Sabeeha Bhoomigowda, among others.
This national initiative aims to resolve human conflicts – between people, communities, and religions – with love and harmony, in unison with nature and the environment. It is an effort to overcome war, violence, suspicion, and arrogance through the Gandhian path. The movement distances itself from power politics, corruption, bribery, and greed, instead embracing the simple lives of children, mothers, elders, and the poor as a lesson and an alternative to today’s complex market-driven life.
